Define the three major components to vocabulary instruction; along with the four subsets of methods of introduction.
The Nature of words is that words are symbols for concepts. The need for direct instruction(deductive) is counter to the less favorable(inductive) method of learning words, "by themselves". And the methods of instruction are all the various ways to teach vocabulary. The four(or three and the rest of 'em) subsets of instruction are formal definitions, feature analysis, graphic organizers, more methods.

this is giving a formal definition of a word along with an example.

The three dimensions to classroom assessment are the student, the content/context, and the teacher. When assessing anyone of these dimensions, we have to consider that each one is relative to the next, and together they make up the complete picture of how learning is taking place.
Elaborate why in 2010 we still can estimate fourth grade reading level, the amount of prisons California will need in seventeen years
When polls are taken in prisons, 70 percent of inmates read at a 4th grade level or lower. This is a good indicator of the direction of a large portion of the population will go if they fall behind on reading. the problem of falling behind on reading compounds itself as the student gets pushed through the school system. they are unable to learn in the classroom because basic reading skills are needed to acquire the next level of information. Eventually, the learner will maybe become frustrated, and give up, or never receive the proper attention before it is too late, and they get dragged by a system unable to adapt to their needs.
how much of this issue is that reading is a key to success, or that the system is too narrowly tuned to teach through reading and writing.
What does a well managed classroom look like to you?
A well managed classroom is one where the students are managing theemselves, having fun, and asking the teacher questions, and the teacher asking them questions.
What do you feel is the biggest challenge in maintaining an orderly classroom?
One of the biggest challenges for me as a substitute was to toe the grey line of my role. Not quite a teacher, not quite a parent, but not too unlike a grandparent, sometimes kids really just became themselves and I would hear things(or they would let me hear things) most teachers would freak out over. it's hard not to give them a little slack, since they trusted.
