Plumbob is taking aim at the inefficiencies of how we build our living, working, and learning structures by re-discovering passive solar principles and re-aligning community to live by the Sun as an energy foundation. Our society is hanging on the question; "What will we leave the next generation?"

Tough Blocks

I have been saving small cut-off pieces of wood of all shapes and sizes for unique and fun building blocks. The time has finally arrived and I have hundreds of pieces just waiting to be sanded and made into sets. These are not standard blocks Each set is completely unique. There are no standard shapes and each set is a hand selected variety of cut-off shapes from other projects in my shop. all wood is salvages and most of it is very nice old growth Douglas Fir, Redwood, Pine, Oak, and others. Some of it is average cultivated lumber. Each block is mechanically sanded by hand to assure no major splinters occur, but they retain a small amount of rough qualities that will peak a child's(and yours) curiosity again and again. They are Tough These blocks retain a small amount of rough spots, nail holes, hammer dings, etc, that will peak your child's(and yours) curiosity and demand their careful attention.
