I tend to write a lot about my thoughts and ideas here on this website or in a journal/sketchbook. I also meditate on teaching ideas or scenarios. I will initially think through a lesson for some time while I work out, or before going to sleep, or while journaling. I will think through various responses or questions that might pop up and find responses and tweak the lesson accordingly in my thoughts.
This exhibits both how I teach and also how I learn in the same example. I am learning how to teach something every time I approach a lesson. Some of the elements might be the same, but it is always different depending on subject matter and group of students.
I am a visual learner and I also learn by doing.
