talk to allee in office about student teaching. Credential counselor said we can't pick our student teaching. but we have to find our own internship.
I might need to stretch out my classes until Neal retires and get hired as an intern for first year to finish my credential. bypass student teaching. this is better anyway, because I basically have to finish all course work and co-requisites.
Maybe I need to take the idea of experiential learning all the way and start building the model of a experiential credential for industrial arts, right now by doing the early completion option, complete my course work through an internship. and building my model first, based on NU's content path. bascally paying to have access to learn the process to get credentialed.
Now Kimo is telling us that we can work it so that we choose our student teaching position and make a direct deal between Dr Czech and the principal.

Kimo said that most ready to retire teachers are waiting for the 'golden handshake' from the gov for a reasonable severance package. then most boomers will retire at this point. but what if the 'handshake' comes from a new corp of teachers. Partnership for apprentice/internship once teacher leaves, but partake in new prep course first as an apprentice.
everything we spend for education is tax deductable. if HR block says no, Kimo recommends finding someone else.
path to teaching is like the wild west, where power is held is egotistically contested at best.
TM- use writing in any classroom. is an easy assessment to find out where their language skills are.
TM- make a sylabi for any grade level, always write tentative at the top.
