Drupal.org is the infrastructure that supports the develpment of the Drupal software. People from all over the world develop and use Drupal. They write extensively about their experience. Drupal.org, hosted by the great people at Oregon State U, aggregates those writings and displays it as news about and by the community. You can view it at Planet Drupal.
I have begun to learn how I can have my writings about Drupal which I post here, added to Planet Drupal. I found the contact to ask permission, but I still have not configured out my workflow to funnel only my writings about Drupal to Plant Drupal. This will take a bit of work on my part to install a module and configure a view of my site that only displays blog postings that I have tagged with 'drupal'. You can see that at the bottom of each blog posting there are links, such as "drupal", "intent", "internet", etc. Once I have built this view, Drupal.org/planet can be set up to check for new content at regular intervals; we call this subscribing to news feeds, or RSS feeds.
